Courageous Conversations: Who Is Worthy of the American Dream?(Virtual Zoom)

What does it mean to be American? How do we measure someone’s contribution to society? Who is worthy of pursuing the American dream? Join us for an engaging conversation based on these themes explored in our common read book: “The Undocumented Americans,” by Karla Cornejo Villavicencio. We’ll provide some historical context on immigration, clarify terminology and misconceptions, and have an opportunity for questions and discussion. You do not have to read the book to participate! Southern Oregon Science Professionals Guest Lecture Series Presents: Joann Reed, MSN, FNP (RVC)

RCC students and employees are invited to join the Southern Oregon Science Professionals Guest Lecture Series featuring Joann Reed, MSN, FNP, on November 21, 2025, from 1 to 2 p.m. at RCC's Riverside Campus: Higher Education Center, room 132 (RVC-HEC 132), 101 S Bartlett St, Medford, OR. Joann received her undergraduate nursing education from Linfield College in Portland and her post-graduate education from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, and uses her previous work experience, from both the critical care and surgical environments, to be able to deliver well-rounded care to patients. As a lifelong resident of the Rogue Valley, she enjoys camping, fishing, and hiking. Red Cross Blood Drive (RWC)

Your blood donation helps save a life! A Red Cross blood drive will be held at RCC's Redwood Campus, Building Cafe/Student Center (RWC-SC), located at 3345 Redwood Highway in Grants Pass on February 17, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. that is open for all members of the community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds, and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
