AAWCC-RCC 2025 Winter Retreat (Gold Hill)

The American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) - RCC chapter's Winter Retreat will be held on December 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at Teapot on Wheels, 1754 Rogue River Hwy, Gold Hill. Activities include high tea, networking, keynote speakers (Chasda Clendinen-Watkins and Kate Lasky), scholarship updates, board elections, and celebrations. Cost: Included with AAWCC-RCC membership dues for 2026 ($10 students/RCC retirees; $25 staff/community); non-members $35. Dress: Business casual, holiday wear welcome. ODHS Eligibility Worker on campus helping with applying for SNAP, OHP, TANF or ERDC (RWC)

An Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) Eligibility Worker will be on the Redwood Campus on select Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:30 am until -1:30. Campus Tour: Native Trees of Southern Oregon (RWC)

Join Dr. Steven Crum and the  Military Resource Center for a tour of the trees of southern Oregon. On this interactive walk, you will learn how to identify both common and rare native trees. We may even see a mushroom or two. The walk will be approximately one mile, and will include unpaved sections with mud puddles, so don’t wear your fancy shoes! Red Cross Blood Drive (RWC)

Your blood donation helps save a life! A Red Cross blood drive will be held at RCC's Redwood Campus, Building Cafe/Student Center (RWC-SC), located at 3345 Redwood Highway in Grants Pass on February 17, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. that is open for all members of the community. Click here to make an appointment or call 1-800-RED CROSS. The need for blood is constant, and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds, and most of us will need blood in our lifetime. We’re also looking for Blood Donor Ambassadors to volunteer on drive day—welcoming donors, assisting with check-in, answering questions, and helping at the refreshment table.
