ctcLink Student-to-Student Support

Student Activity ASYVC is hosting student-to-student support sessions to help students learn the basics of ctcLink, including browsing available classes, enrolling in courses and making payments. Sessions will be held May 19 and May 23-26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Get help in person at the HUB on the Yakima Campus or in Grandview Main on the Grandview Campus or join the support sessions via Zoom. Organization: ASYVC. Celebrating the Life and Work of local a

Special Event Yakima Valley College’s 2022 Diversity Series celebrates the life and work of local activist Tomás Villanueva. Graciela Villanueva will share her father’s legacy and how he helped shape the Yakima Valley through his social justice and activism for farmworkers. The free event will be held on Wednesday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m. PST. A Q&A will follow the lecture. Register for the event online. Local artist's Bertha López and Christie Tirado will share artwork honoring Villanueva that will be on display at YVC in the student life office. Flagger Training & Certification Class

Workshop Washington State Official Certified Training, YVC offers a one-day certification for work zone traffic control flaggers. During the course, participants will receive a study guide and have the opportunity to take the Washington State Certification Exam. Participants must pre-register and pay the course fee in advance. The cost is $55.00, Upon successful completion, receive a Washington State Traffic Control Flagger card valid in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana (valid for 3 years). YVC does not provide job placement. Eligibility, 18 years of age or older. Participants must present a valid state photo ID at the morning check-in to attend the class. Course Availability, This one-day class is offered at a variety of times throughout the year on the YVC – Yakima Campus. Classes are first-come, first-serve. Classes fill rapidly; register and pay early to guarantee your seat. Registration will open for this class on June 1, 2002. Organization: College & Career Readiness. YVC Commencement

Academic YVC will host a single ceremony on Friday, June 17, at 6 p.m. in the Yakima Valley Sundome. Guests are welcome to attend the celebration. The college will provide a livestream of Commencement on our  YouTube channel. Students wanting to participate in commencement should register before May 26. More information on Commencement.
