In Conversation with Yardena Schwartz
Award-winning journalist, Emmy-nominated producer, and bestselling author, Yardena Schwartz joins Dr. Vikki Katz for a conversation about her acclaimed, book, Ghosts of a Holy War: The 1929 Massacre in Palestine that Ignited the, Arab-Israeli Conflict. A work of narrative nonfiction, the book investigates the, enduring legacy of the 1929 Hebron massacre, examining how propaganda, religious incitement, and disinformation helped shape a century of conflict. Drawing on archival research and on-the-ground reporting, Schwartz brings, a new perspective to a consequential and often overlooked chapter of Israel’s, pre-state history and its reverberations today. Her reporting has appeared in, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Review of Books, The Economist, Time, and National Geographic, among other publications. Previously based in Israel for a decade, Schwartz has reported from four, continents and worked at NBC News and MSNBC.
