Checking Video Content for Accessibility
This session addresses accessibility considerations for video used in Canvas—whether for teaching, training, communication, or student-facing resources. Participants will learn how to evaluate where videos come from (YuJa, YouTube, uploaded files), how captions and transcripts are handled, and how to spot common problems such as inaccurate captions, missing transcripts, or poor audio quality. Student workers will learn practical ways to assist with reviewing and improving video accessibility, including caption quality checks and documentation of issues.
