Advocate Training is an informative, interactive, fun, and brave space for faculty, staff, and students to become more knowledgeable about terminology and resources available for EWU?s LGBTQ+ communities. Distinguished Lecture Dr. Claudio Talarico
The recent US CHIPS and Science Act has catalyzed a surge of innovation in microchip design and manufacturing.
In this presentation, Dr. Talarico will report on the state-of-the-art use of open-source tools and technologies to “democratize” the process of designing and manufacturing microelectronics chips. Leveraging the use of open-source tools and technologies, along with innovative design methodologies, will play a pivotal role in narrowing the current workforce gap in the microelectronics and semiconductor industries.
Claudio Talarico received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Genoa, Italy, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawai?i. He is currently a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Gonzaga University. This exhibition features woven textile works by Chicago-based visual artist Meagan Smith and Seattle, WA-based visual artist Allyce Wood. Blood supplies nationwide are low! Join the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) and Vitalant and roll up your sleeves for our campus-wide blood drive in a challenge to help our community. This blood drive will be hosted in the PUB Nysether Community Room in honor of Cesar Chavez who worked in the community in the service of others.
Blood donation saves the lives of accident victims, surgery patients, cancer patients, and many others in need. Donating blood is safe, easy and takes about an hour. During that hour you can save three lives!

Cheney Grad Fair
Grad Fair is your one stop shop to meet with campus partners, get information about commencement, learn about the perks of being an Eastern Alumni, and shop discounted regalia! Grad Fair is the one time a year that regalia goes on sale so make sure you don't miss out on your chance to save on all your commencement needs.
During this event, Jostens representatives will be available to assist with announcements, class rings, and regalia. Representatives from many campus departments will also be there to provide information and celebrate with our graduates.

One of the most enriching experiences in the life of a student is the study abroad opportunity. The Spanish Program offers the Summer Program in Salamanca, Spain, from July 25 to August 15, 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to learn Spanish and sharpen interpersonal communication skills and cultural competency.
