BalletX, Philadelphia’s Premier Contemporary Ballet, unites artistic innovation with technical excellence to forge new works of athleticism, emotion, and grace. Blind Boys of Alabama
The Blind Boys of Alabama are recognized worldwide as living legends of gospel music. Celebrated by the National Endowment for the Arts and The Recording Academy/GRAMMYs with Lifetime Achievement Awards and inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, they have attained the highest levels of achievement in a career spanning over 70 years. Along the way, they have also earned six GRAMMY® Awards, including most recently in 2024. The Blind Boys are known for crossing multiple musical boundaries with their remarkable interpretations of everything from traditional gospel favorites to contemporary spiritual material by songwriters such as Eric Clapton, Prince, and Tom Waits. Ben Bliss in concert with Christopher Allen
Hailed as a “truly exceptional tenor” by the National Review, Ben Bliss has established himself as one of the most exciting performers on today’s operatic stage, both in his native America and internationally. Ben has been cited as “an exemplar of the Mozartean tenor” for his “purity of tone, vocal control and artistic sensitivity” (Opera Warhorses). Ben was a 2021 recipient of the Metropolitan Opera’s prestigious Beverly Sills Award. His numerous other accolades include the 2016 Martin E. The Jerry Douglas Band
Dobro master and 14-time Grammy® winner Jerry Douglas is a bandleader, producer, session musician, instructor, and a very funny guy! He’s produced over a hundred albums, and he’s featured on over 1,600 studio albums. He’s a member of Alison Krauss & Union Station, co-bandleader for Transatlantic Sessions in the United Kingdom, founder of the Grammy®-winning bluegrass super-group The Earls of Leicester, and he leads The Jerry Douglas Band. Since 2017, The Jerry Douglas Band has been forging new paths into the musical horizon with deep roots in bluegrass and folk that spread out into the Americana and jazz landscapes. Gaby Moreno
Grammy® and Latin Grammy®–winning artist Gaby Moreno is a singer-songwriter and producer whose warm, soulful sound bridges English and Spanish. Since moving to Los Angeles from her native Guatemala, she has released nine albums and earned major honors, including a Grammy® win for X Mí (Vol. 1) (Best Latin Pop Album, 2024), Grammy® nominations for Alegoría and Illusion, and two Latin Grammy® Awards. A defining voice in modern Americana, Moreno has shared the stage with artists such as Tracy Chapman, Ani DiFranco, Mavis Staples, Buena Vista Social Club, and Chris Thile. Moreno’s work spans music, film, television, and theater.
