Lavender Bridge

Lavender Bridge is an affinity group that welcomes students who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning/Queer, Intersex, and Asexual and other minoritized sexual orientations and gender expressions. This affinity group is called the Clover Park Pride Collective and is intended for employees who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning/Queer, Intersex, and Asexual and other minoritized sexual orientations and gender expressions not listed here. Affinity groups are spaces for people to work within their own identity group(s). Employees for LGBTQIA+ Advocacy (Accountability Group)

The LGBTQIA+ Accountability Group will gather for professional development aimed to help you gain knowledge, skills, awareness, and action ideas that will support an inclusive campus and classroom culture for our LGBTQIA+ students and employees. The accountability group is called Employees for LGBTQIA+ Advocacy and is intended for employees who want to expand their knowledge of supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities. Accountability groups hold themselves responsible for their goals and actions and acknowledge the values of other groups to which they don’t belong, within the context of equity work. For cisgender heterosexual people, these spaces provide an opportunity to work explicitly on understanding and critically analyzing heteronormative culture and cisgender privilege while putting the onus on cisgender and heterosexual people to teach each other rather than depending on LGBTQIA+ knowledge and experiences (as often occurs in integrated spaces). MOSAIC Milestones Celebration
