Leather Workshop in the Library!

Craft Corner is back for the Spring quarter! The SPSCC Library is thrilled to announce our continuing partnership with Arbutus Folk School to bring crafting to our campus.    On Monday, April 27, from 1 pm to 3 pm, we will host Davey for a Leather Workshop! Davey will go over the basics of working with leather and lead you through a project. So come learn how to do leather working!   Space is limited, sign up in the library for your slot when you arrive. Fireworks Night at Tacoma Rainiers

Don't miss an epic night of fireworks and baseball! Come enjoy a Tacoma Rainiers baseball game with the Office of Student Life! We'll be taking a group of currently registered students to the Rainiers game against the Las Vegas Aviators on Friday, May 1! Transportation is provided! Current students can claim their ticket, which also includes a hat and ballpark meal, by signing up the Student Union Building (27) Welcome Desk beginning at noon on Tuesday, April 21. Space is limited, and spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  The game is at 7 p.m. at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma. Local Hike Series: Millersylvania State Park

Suicide Prevention Training – Miles of Honor Event

This session is part of the Miles of Honor 5K activities and will feature a Suicide Prevention Training facilitated by the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA). The training is intended to provide students, staff, and community members with practical tools to recognize warning signs, respond effectively, and connect individuals to appropriate support resources. LEARN Suicide Prevention Training: The suicide prevention training we offer is one you may be familiar with, LEARN Saves Lives: Suicide Prevention Training. This training was developed by Forefront Suicide Prevention at the University of Washington School of Social Work. English Language Learners Bring You the World
