Guest Concert: The Sardonic Philharmonic
Brendan Allen is an instrument maker and composer. He has created violins and violas from salvaged materials, and composed a string quartet to showcase how these instruments sound. The Music Department at TCC is pleased to host Brendan and his Sardonic Philharmonic in a concert and presentation at 3:00 PM on August 29. He will give a short presentation and Q&A on the process of making the instruments, and will be joined by other musicians in a premiere performance of a new string quartet he composed specifically for this occasion - Fracas.
This event hits on many values we share at Tacoma Community College, including: creativity, sustainability, and community.
