The News You Use: News Literacy in 2025
For decades, Americans have been able to count on pillars of the newspaper world such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and news broadcasters like Walter Cronkite and Tom Brokaw.
These days it’s a bit trickier.
Our current news landscape includes billionaire owners exerting editorial control in newsrooms and cable news that is often equal parts propaganda and entertainment between sprinkles of news. We also have news influencers popping up on social media platforms like Tik Tok and Instagram.
What are we to do?
If you’re interested in learning more about our current news crisis and how you can stay informed with credible news sources, join us for “The News You Use: News Literacy in 2025” on November 19 from 11-11:30am.
