Unity in the Community consists of five key vendor areas: Youth Fair, Career and Education Fair, Health Fair, Early Learning Fair, and General Vendors.
Along with our vendors we also have a Cultural Village and a stage consisting of a diverse group of performers and acts to keep you entertained all day. Whatever your age, you will find something to do at Unity in the Community!

Eagle Relays is a fund raiser being put on by me (Karson Hahn the EWU XC coach) to raise money for the XC team. The money will be used to support the student athletes of the xc team.

Advocate Training is an informative, interactive, fun, and brave space for faculty, staff, and students to become more knowledgeable about terminology and resources available for EWU's LGBTQ+ communities. Participants who complete Advocate Training receive a placard for each level they complete that indicates they are an affirming person with whom all students can connect. Level 1 Advocates provide basic, informed support for interacting with and about LGBTQ+ students.

9/11 Memorial Stair Climb
9/11 Memorial Stair Climb
Join us as we honor the lives of the first responders and victims of September 11, 2001. Participants are invited to take on one of two memorial challenges: climb the equivalent of 110 floors, representing the Twin Towers, or run or walk 1.5 miles, symbolizing the distance first responders traveled through the Lincoln Tunnel to reach Ground Zero. This commemorative event will be held at Roos Field and is open to all members of the EWU and surrounding community as we come together to remember, reflect, and honor their sacrifice.

Pass Through the Pillars
In the days before most students had cars, passenger trains brought EWU students to downtown Cheney each fall. Students hauled their suitcases and bags up College Avenue to campus. Today's new students honor this tradition with a ceremonial stroll through the Herculean Pillars at the top of College Ave. With luggage already safely stowed in their residence halls, new students exchange high-fives and cheers with EWU community members who line the path. The pillars are built with granite stones from the first campus building. When a fire destroyed that building in 1912, the stones were repurposed to create the pillars.
